Meet Our Team
Pastor Lowell Busman
Lowell has served as a pastor at River of Hope since 2008. Lowell was raised in a Christian home and became a believer at a young age. After a career in agricultural and environmental science, he felt God calling him to full-time ministry. After completing a degree from Bethel Seminary, he and his wife Carol became part of the ministry team at ROH. They have two wonderful children and six grandchildren. Lowell has a passion for prayer and revival, and for raising up the next generation to lead the church forward.
Director of Equipping and Prayer
Tim & Emily Miller
Over the last two decades, Tim, his wife Emily, and their five children have served Jesus both within the United States and internationally in a number of different capacities, including church planting, Bible teaching, resource development, and missions training. In 2010 Tim helped found the Daniel Training Network (DTN), a resource development ministry whose vision is “to equip the church to follow Jesus faithfully until He returns.” He is currently working on his PhD through Columbia International University. Tim and Emily have a heart for missions and prayer, a desire to see the Scriptures stewarded faithfully, and a passion to see people established in the way of “Christ crucified” (1 Cor. 2:2) and made ready for Jesus’ return. The Millers joined the River of Hope family in September 2023. Besides their love for good friends, good music, good burgers, good ice cream, and the North Shore, they are also quite fond of their dog, Teddy (despite his frequent and sometimes successful attempts to stick his nose in Tim’s coffee), and their cat, Walter (despite his frequent and sometimes successful attempts to eat Emily’s plants). Maranatha.

Charlene grew up in rural South Dakota, coming to Christ at an early age through the influence of family and church. There were urban missionaries on both sides of her extended family who influenced her lifelong love for the city. From the ups and downs condo life; to the richness of urban artistic opportunities; to the variety of people and cultures present; since 2008, there has been no place like Prospect Park in Minneapolis for her as there is no place like home. Currently Charlene is leading efforts to develop the Children’s Ministry at River of Hope including Sunday Morning Children’s Time. She is also keenly interested in launching an Awana Club at our new facility. If Awana in Prospect Park interests you, please contact Charlene.
